Exposé - Whistleblower Policy
Exposé – Whistleblower policy was added to CN-CFNBA Smart Growth 5-Year Signature Plan (2005–2010) in February, 2008 as part of the Kerner Challenge and the poverty plus institutional racism in Milwaukee.
General Objective
1. To provide an avenue of monitoring and accountability.
2. To encourage the citizenry to empower themselves by recognizing that GOOD CITIZENSHIP requires that they must be at the front of the line to help change their conditions.
3. To strengthen the One-for-All and All-for-One Philosophy – Horton Hears a Who Initiative.
4. To report the actions of the Milwaukee 7, Greater Milwaukee Committee, Milwaukee Economic Development Corporation, Metropolitan Milwaukee Association of Commerce, Mayor Tom Barrett, Common Council President Willie Hines, County Executive Scott Walker, County Chairman Lee Holloway, common council members (alderpersons), county supervisors, state and national elected officials; and, others in Milwaukee controlling the funds and policies that govern the destiny of People of Color and the Working Poor.
This would include departments as well, especially CDBG and HOUSING/HUD, DCD/Department of City Development, DPW/Department of Public Works, MPL/Milwaukee Public Library, DNS/Department of Neighborhood Services, BOZA/Board of Zoning and Appeals and Department of Administration.
Additional groups, including social agencies, will be added during the month of June, 2008.
Process & Procedure
Milwaukeeans are free to contact CN-CFNBA with concerns for discourse and recommendations. The concerns are whatever the issue is – from neighborhood to government.
We subscribe to timely responses for what we plan to do and/or what we will do.
We will report publically information as needed while recognizing confidentiality.
